  • What are the qualifications of my potential caregiver, and why should I use MerBess Care?
    Our caregivers need to prove and demonstrate that they are Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In addition, our caregivers undergo a thorough interview process which includes police background and reference checks amongst other screening.
  • My parent would enjoy having a caregiver who speaks his/her language, can you help?
    Certainly! We pride ourselves in having a diverse team at MerBess Care. We can match you with caregivers who speak English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Polish and many other languages. Please contact us anytime at (512) 316-8270 or email us at info@merbess.com
  • What methods of payment do you accept?
    The preferred forms of payment are credit card or EMT (Email Money Transfer). We also accept certified cheques, and other forms of payment. Contact a Client Care Coordinator at 512-316-8270 for more information.
  • Do you charge for an initial assessment?
    No. Your initial assessment is complimentary, as we learn more about your needs and how we can best assist you! Please contact our Client Care Coordinator at (512) 316-8270 anytime, and they will be able to answer any care/cost related questions in more detail.
  • Other providers require a minimum 4 hours per visit, does MerBess Care require the same?
    Our core goal at MerBess Care is to meet our clients needs. We understand that not every client needs four hours service in a day. For many of our clients three hours is all they need to stay independent and at home. Whether you require three hours of care or 24/7 care we have the flexibility to accommodate you. MerBess Care. is one of the few agencies that provide care for as little as three hours. We do this because we want to provide our clients with as much flexibility as possible so that care is based on their needs and not about minimums or time restrictions.
  • Are your employee’s covered by Worker’s Compensation, bonded and insured?
    All of our staff are covered by WSIB, they are bonded and insured. It’s important to know that when you have care through MerBess Care, you are protected.
  • Can we have the same caregiver each time?
    Of course! At MerBess Care, we strongly believe in maintaining continuity of care between client and caregiver. This is best achieved by pairing those with similar outlooks. We are a family-owned business and feel our clients should be treated as family too.
  • How much do your companion and personal care services cost?
    Our rate depends on the clients needs, the caregivers experience and the clients location. We will present you with the best care options available. Please contact us at (512) 316-8270 for more information.
  • Can I speak with a Client Coordinator?

  • What is your cancellation policy for scheduled care?
    Please let us know at least two weeks in advance by email or by phone for any changes in care. If the notice is less than two weeks, the visit will be charged.
